The match opened with Tigers asserting dominance in the first two sets (25-19, 25-18), before Police clawed back in a tense third set (28-30). However, Tigers sealed the win in the fourth (25-20), showcasing depth and resilience.
Sunday’s offensive brilliance was the difference-maker, consistently breaching Police’s block line and energizing the Tigers’ bench. The win not only boosts Tigers’ confidence but also signals their intent to climb the league standings.
In other fixtures, KAVC swept Kampala University (KU) in straight sets (25-20, 26-24, 25-23), displaying clinical execution and composure in tight moments. KU showed flashes of promise, especially in the second and third sets, but couldn’t convert pressure into points.
Meanwhile, UCU cruised past Elyon with a 3-0 win (28-26, 25-20, 25-19), overcoming a spirited first-set challenge. UCU’s tactical discipline and sharp service game proved too much for Elyon, who struggled to maintain momentum after the opening set.
